*Note: If you have any questions regarding Housing for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year please reach out to our team. If you have not already applied for housing we recommend exploring other housing options as we have a lengthy waitlist we are using to fill openings as they arise.*
All students that want to live on campus must be fully admitted and accepted to the university to access the Housing Application in the Student Housing Portal. Therefore, we strongly encourage students to apply as soon as they are able to have the best chance of securing a space in our community.
Requirements to Apply:
- Students must:
- Be fully admitted and accepted to the university
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hours of classes)
- Have a Meal Plan (Blazer 10, 14 or 19 Meal Plan available)
- Have Renters Insurance (Proof required during Move/Check-in)
- Pay to $100 non-refundable Application Fee (required of all applicants)
Important Housing Application Dates:
First-year Students:
- Applications Opens: Friday, 1/26/24 at 9:00am
- Priority Consideration Submission Deadline: the earlier the better
Returning Students (this includes all non-first-year students including transfer students):
- Applications Opens: Friday, 1/26/24 at 9:00am
- Priority Consideration Submission Deadline: Friday, 3/8 by 11:59pm
Special Populations Timeline (includes scholarship groups i.e. Trailblazer Elite, Presidential Scholars, Greater Texas Foundation Scholars etc.):
- Applications Opens: Friday, 1/26/24 at 9:00am
- Application Submission Deadline: Monday, 7/1/24 at 8:00am
Student Athletes:
- Applications Opens: Friday, 1/26/24 at 9:00am
- Application Submission Deadline: Thursday, 8/1/24 at 8:00am
Summer '24 Housing:
- Applications Opens: April 2024
- Priority Consideration Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 5/1/24
Housing Assignment Information:
Your housing assignment will be based on residence hall space availability as well as your eligibility to reside on campus. Students applying for the Fall semester will be notified in accordance with the dates listed below. Once all spaces have been filled for the Fall Semester all remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list and our team will fill community vacancies throughout the academic year from this list. Outreach will be conducted via the student's UNT Dallas email account so please monitor your student email for updates.
Secured Room Notification Dates: This communication will go to all applicants and notifies you that you have either secured a room or that you have not secured a room at this point in the process.

- Returning Students (this includes all non-first-year students):
- Friday, 4/26/24 by 5:00pm

Assignment Release Dates: This communication will only be distributed to students who have secured a housing assignment .
- First-Year Students:
- Tuesday, 7/15/24 by 5:00pm
- Returning Students (this includes all non-first-year students):
- Tuesday, 7/15/24 by 5:00pm
- Special Populations (includes scholarship groups i.e. Trailblazer Elite, Presidential Scholars, Greater Texas Foundation Scholars etc.):

Completing Your Application
The on-campus housing application is completed via your MyUNTDallas account by selecting the Housing Portal. In order to submit a Housing Application, you'll need your EUID login and password. You can begin your application, save it, and come back to it at a later date if needed.
- Go to your MyUNTDallas account
- Select the “Resource” box
- Click on “Live on Campus”
- You will be directed to the Housing Portal to Log in
- Once you have logged in, select the Academic Year you are applying for Housing
Once you have followed all steps in the application,your application will be complete.
Housing is limited and spaces are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Once rooms have filled, students will be placed on a waiting list and contacted once spaces are available.
